Picture Framer and Creative Director of the Corner Studios
Originally from the South of France, Valerie Pellegrin moved to Colorado in 1992 and soon made her home in Lyons. It was here that she started picture framing to compliment her career as an antique and art dealer. Her dedication to quality and perfection, with a touch of the nonconformist, led to a unique approach within her trade. Her repertoire includes traditional craftsmanship, inspired innovation and an eco-friendly focus (up-cycling, recycling, re-use).
The Corner Studios came about naturally...bringing together dedicated artists and artisans to collectively create a productive and inspired environment.
Chloe paints colorful and captivating images celebrating energies, elements, and movements. Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Chloe is at home in nature, camping, hiking, fire-dancing, and doing yoga in her free-time. Chloe is passionate about collaboration, unconventionality and participation in art. Chloe's vision as Art Director of the Corner Studios Gallery and Boutique is: to reinforce Valerie's mission to empower local artists, support and promote the artistic community of Lyons, and support community growth and well-being through art. In addition, Chloe is dedicated to growing the collective's network and increasing the Corner Studios outreach and community involvement.
Allison Bozeman wears many aprons as a letterpress pixie / woodtype worshiper / indie ink siren / vintage fabric vixen / event evangelist and owner of BirdDog Press in Lyons. What started as a penchant for pen and paper in the digital age, an obsession with a more tactile, interactive experience grew. Feathered with more than 13 years of design expertise in her cap, Allison began spreading her wings into letterpress printing, non-traditional materials and a handmade eco-friendly approach. BirdDog Press was born when a rescued hunting dog inspired a design + letterpress studio with a trained eye for craftsmanship in place of perfectionism, a love of pattern and perspective and a collaboration of history and modern technology.
Meet Sarah. A southern Louisiana girl, through and through. She joins BirdDog Press bringing many skills to the table including illustration, design and of course letterpress printing. Sarah studied Studio Art at LSU and concentrated in Graphic Design. She moved to Boulder in 2011 after working with our friends at Blackbird Letterpress in Baton Rouge. When she isn't feeding the press or hand lettering an invitation, you'll find her scaling rocks somewhere in the sunshine, while her four-legged friend awaits her on belay.
